Although players can interact with all characters that are in the game, they can not build up a romantic relationship with all of them. In order to do so, they will have to complete different quests for them. House Party is still in Early Access so these are subject to change based on future development.

This patch will continue to be updated as new versions of House Party are released. Listen closely and the characters will chat about your actions, conversations, and choices, and also provide hints and insights into cracking their stories open. Throughout the night, you may overhear information about their backstories or catch them gossiping about other guests at the party. The character you control in the game can be male or (as of version 0.22.0) female. As a male character you are Derek's best friend from high school, although you don't remember much about that after the head injuries sustained working at the batting cages.

Since these events weren’t originally built to be in the game full dash time, we had to essentially completely rebuild both of them so they could be in the game permanently. Show items to NPCs and they may react with varying dialogue or relationship fluctuations. Most of these hidden objects are vital for completing an NPC’s personal storyline and winning their approval. Play your cards right and maybe you can win them over with your charm alone. No ETA or changes yet; we're waiting on a reply back from Itch support right now! Frank's violent attitude makes him an antagonist for most opportunities, but his idiosyncratic behavior also makes him the game's breakout character.
